Changing the text and buttons

This article applies to all custom banners

If you have implemented a default domain group and implemented the custom banner following the implementation guide you still have to change the default text and buttons. The changes described here are based on the default English Cookiebot text.

*Have you implemented the custom banner in an existing domain group and previously replaced the default text by your own? You can leave the text but make sure you mention the buttons and name the buttons accordingly.

What buttons and text are being used?

The custom banner uses so called placeholders to fill the text in the right language. These are example texts which you can use or change as desired. Important thing is the reference to the buttons. If you change the button name, make sure you refer to them in the text accordingly. In our example “cookie settings” and “accept”.
